Thursday Tips: Getting Perspective

Today, I seriously stressed myself out. And guess what? I'm not the one planning a wedding. But I was working on a music post for a friend (songs that get people on the dance floor) that I promised I'd get up by today, I was having lunch with a friend that I haven't seen in forever, I got a surprise attack visit from my landlord, and then... oh yeah, just 8 hours at the good old day job. Which by the way... I work at a group home for teenage girls who have mental health and substance abuse disorders. So... it's not what I would call an easy job.

So the point of this very belated Thursday Tips post (it's already Friday in Central and Eastern time - lucky I'm a Cali girl!) is to say... just relax. When I realized that I was stressing out about blog posts?? I seriously love this blog, don't get me wrong, but let's get a little perspective here. It's a blog post, not the next great American novel.

So... to translate my crazy to yours: when you, fabulous bride-to-be, are stressing about all the nitty gritty details, just take a moment, a deep breath, and look at the big picture. On your day what really matters is being surrounded by friends and family, and celebrating your forever union to the one you love. People remember how happy you were and how much fun you had more than all the little things.

I know that this is a simple tip, but I needed a refresher on it today, so I thought maybe I wasn't the only one.

You'll find some much more thoughtful and detailed Thursday Tips on these fantastic blogs: {Every Last Detail} {Bow Ties & Bliss} {The Oceanside Bride} {Catie Ronquillo Photography} {Stremel Photography}
