Real Wedding: Holly & Bill

I have yet another fabulous wedding to share with you all today. Holly submitted these beautiful photos of her posh and elegant wedding to the love of her life, Bill.

Here's what Holly had to say:

We got married on October 4 at Slatersville Congregational Church and had the reception at Providence Biltmore Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island.

I met my husband back in 2000. I just graduated college and was moving back to my home state of Rhode Island to start law school. We met and dated for a few years and then moved in together in Newport, RI where we lived for about 5 years. We decided to buy a house in 2006. He didn't propose to me until October of 2008. I guess I had just grown accustomed to our long term relationship...but the proposal surprised me! I'm a little nosy and had no idea. He took me out to eat at the restaurant/bar we met at . Then we did a little trip down memory lane to some spots that meant a lot to us that we used to hang out at when we lived in Newport, RI.

When we planned our wedding we wanted it to be classic, elegant and sophisticated. My husband pooh pooh-ed a lot of my fun ideas since he was so concerned about it being elegant. So, we opted to have it in the historic Biltmore Hotel. The grand ballroom has massive ornate ceilings with huge windows with a spectacular view of the city. Even though the hotel was amazing, my favorite part of the day was exchanging our vows. We wrote our own and opted to each read one vow to the other and went back and forth instead of having one person read theirs and then the other. I also loved that we took an hour by ourselves for pictures with our photographer. It kind of slowed things down and made the day not fly by.

Holly and Bill danced to "Someone Like You," by Van Morrison. They used their second favorite, "The Luckiest," by Ben Folds, to start off the after-dinner dancing.
